Long standing family traditions.
In 1968 Tom Coughlin started a maintenance company to provide services to his Property Management clients with one employee. His focus was to provide quality building maintenance base upon unparalleled customer service.
Ted Coughlin spent his summers and winter vacations growing up in the family business. Whether it was painting condominiums, or mowing lawns in the summer to running service calls for no heat or shoveling snow on Christmas Day, it was always about the customer.
Through the years Ted had interests in both the landscape and carpentry fields and eventually concentrated on the landscape field. Upon completing his course of study, Landscape Design and Nursery Management at UCONN, Ted moved into his dad's company full-time. The landscape side of the business grew with the input of new ideas and technologies, all the while based in customer service. Once the landscape business was well established Ted concentrated on building the construction and maintenance services. The company grew to establish themselves as a quality, reliable construction & maintenance services contractor.
In 1996 when Ted's father Tom decided to retire from the maintenance business to concentrate on his property management and real estate companies, Ted started Coughlin Service Corp, where the foundation is still based upon quality worksmanship and outstanding customer service.
